Online counselling in Bicester & Oxfordshire

Welcome to Tamsin Ireland Counselling

Online counselling in Bicester and Oxfordshire for adults and couples across the UK

You keep trying to feel better, calmer, more secure in yourself, but the same patterns keep returning.

Maybe you replay conversations long after they've ended, struggle to trust your own judgement, or work hard to keep the peace yet still feel like you're getting it wrong.

Counselling for the patterns that keep returning

I specialise in working with adults who are living with the longer term effects of emotional neglect, relational trauma, narcissistic or alcoholic parenting, domestic abuse and loss.

You don't need to arrive with a clear sense of what happened or why things feel difficult now. We figure that out together.

Many people find that having a steady space to reflect helps things begin to feel clearer, more manageable, and less lonely over time.

Ways we can work together

Whether you come on your own or as a couple, the work often begins by slowing things down enough to notice the pattern rather than just trying to push through it.

👤

Individual counselling

You may have spent years coping, staying busy, looking after other people, or trying to keep things steady on the outside while privately feeling anxious, disconnected, overwhelmed, or emotionally stuck.

👥

Couples counselling

You may find yourselves having the same conversations repeatedly, becoming stuck in patterns that leave both of you feeling unheard, criticised, distant, or alone.

Often the work begins simply by noticing what keeps repeating and becoming curious about why.

How I work

My approach is thoughtful, relational, and grounded in creating a space where you feel safe enough to explore what's happening beneath the surface, without pressure or judgement.

Together we begin to make sense of the emotional patterns, relationship dynamics, and coping strategies that may have developed over time.

This work isn’t about fixing you.

It’s about creating the right conditions for healing and change — thoughtfully, respectfully, and at your pace.

A gentle place to start

I offer a free 20 minute introductory call where we can briefly talk about what is bringing you to counselling and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you.
